Hello we’re Cashing Out… Three school buddies who share the same love and passion for music, which is American Country, Roots and Rockabilly music. For many years the music kept us together. Our biggest influence was and still is the one and only Man in Black Johnny Cash. The band was founded in 2015 by Ayrton Kennes (vocals, acoustic rhythm guitar) and Willem De Cuyper (electric lead guitar, harmonica). From the early beginning the two started writing lyrics and composing music. A few months later Arno Jacobs (bass, backing vocals) joined the band and the line up was complete.
Many thought it was a strange idea, a band without drums, but so did Johnny Cash in the early 1950’s. This has given us the opportunity to play live shows in the smallest local bars to bigger stages like open air festivals. Cashing Out has played his first live show in early 2016. Since then, they played all over the country, from Oostende all the way down to Gouvy.
